The PERMATA Children’s Hospital project was inspired by the YABg. Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor, the wife of the Prime Minister of Malaysia. She had visited many children’s hospitals all over the world and after returning from one such visit, she mentioned her wish to see a children’s hospital in Malaysia to the Former UKM Vice Chancellor, Professor Tan Sri Dato Seri Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin.
